Prairie Elevator

The Prairie Elevator stands within the Hamlet of Acadia Valley, Alberta, next to the defunct Canadian National Railway track bed.

The Prairie Elevator Museum is a restored Alberta Wheat Pool grain elevator in working condition.Tour the facility and learn how these large structures handled the millions of bushels of grain brought in by the local farmers each year. Take the opportunity to tour through the restored CNR caboose also on site.

Chesterfield House & Tea House

Next to the Prairie Elevator Museum is the Chesterfield House  and Tea House.  This house was one of the first homes of its kind that could be ordered directly from the catalogue. Enjoy browsing through the gift shop and touring the restored home. You won’t want to miss out on some lovely home-made refreshments while you browse through arts and crafts made by local artisans.
